👋 About Me

The journey of my life, career, and adventures around the world

Hello and welcome to my personal story!

I was born in Chandpur, Bangladesh in 1988. My childhood was shaped by my father's job at Biman Bangladesh Airlines, which meant we moved a few times during my early years — and also brought me the gift of travel. My journey has taken me from Dhaka to London, then to Los Angeles, and finally to New York City. I feel very lucky to have experienced life in some of the world's largest and most vibrant metropolitan cities.

🎓 University & Higher Education

2006-2007
Finding My Path
After HSC, I was uncertain about my career path. I tried for several public university admission exams but didn't secure a spot. I initially enrolled in a private university to study Textile Engineering but soon realized it wasn't for me.
2007-2009
AIUB - Electrical Engineering
Joined AIUB (American International University-Bangladesh) to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering. After two years, I decided to pursue higher studies abroad.
2009-2012
Queen Mary University of London
Transferred my credits to Queen Mary University of London, UK, completing my B.Eng degree in 2012 with an Upper Second Class. This was my first major international educational experience.
2014-2016
Master's in Los Angeles
Moved to the USA for my master's degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, completing it in 2016 with a GPA of 3.54. This opened doors to the American tech industry.

💼 Career Evolution

2016-2020
Early Career Challenges
After my master's, I faced challenges finding work due to my visa status. I took on various roles, including teaching science and math at charter schools, working as a lecturer at a community college, and driving for Uber to make ends meet. These experiences taught me resilience and adaptability.
2020
Breaking into Tech
Landed my first tech role as a QA Engineer and relocated from NYC to Albany, New York. This was a pivotal moment that launched my technology career.
2020-2025
Senior QA Engineer & Educator
Grew into my current role as a Senior QA Engineer. Alongside my tech career, I've continued teaching — currently working as an independent instructor at Outschool, where I teach technology subjects to middle and high school students.

🌟 Life Today

It's now 2025, and I'm fortunate to work remotely for both my QA engineering role and my teaching work. I've been living in the Hudson Valley for the past three years, enjoying a balance of technology, education, and a peaceful lifestyle.

My journey from a curious child traveling the world thanks to my father's airline job, to becoming a technology professional and educator in the United States, has been filled with challenges, growth, and incredible experiences. Each step has shaped who I am today.

When I'm not working, you'll find me exploring new technologies, teaching students, working on personal projects like this website, or planning my next adventure. The spirit of curiosity and exploration that began in my childhood continues to drive me forward.
